AcuRite indoor temperature and humidity monitor provides accurate real-time measurements of relative humidity and temperature. This wireless digital device has an LCD display that includes a humidity icon that automatically tells you when your indoor air conditions are too high (above 55%), too low (below 30%) or ideal (anywhere in between). It also records and displays a daily high and low temperature and humidity so you can see how your indoor environment has changed on a daily basis. A trend arrow shows whether each is trending higher, lower or staying constant. Why is this so important? Because controlling indoor humidity has important skin, allergen and health benefits as well as benefits to your flooring, cabinetry, furniture, plants and pets. Knowing when conditions are too low or too high tells when it’s time to turn on or off certain appliances such as air conditioners, dehumidifiers or humidifiers. Ensuring proper conditions in your home or office allows you to maintain a comfortable and healthy environment that will inhibit the growth of mold, bacteria, viruses, fungi, mites and other asthma-inducing agents.
